Chronic Pain Management Group (Open to Community)
Topics include: psycho-education, nutrition, pain assessments, relaxation techniques, peer support, coping strategies and more. If you are struggling with chronic pain and want to learn more about what pain management looks like and the opportunity to connect with others, this group is for you.
Smoking Cessation Breathe Easy Group (Open to Community)
Breathe Easy is a 6 week smoking cessation program which offers support and education to adults who are either trying to cut down on the number of cigarettes smoked, and/or wish to quit smoking altogether. Topics covered include: the benefits of quitting, goal setting, identifying triggers, the effects of smoking on health, stress management and lifestyle options.
Healthy Minds For Life – HM4L (Open to Community)
This is a psycho-education series covering mental health and wellness in a series of five presentations. Topics include: understanding mental health, building resilience, caregiver stress, understanding anxiety and understanding depression.
Nutrition Webinars (Open to Community)
These webinars are facilitated by our Dietician, Claudia Takahashi. Topics can include: nutrition and mental health, eating healthy on a budget and nutrition for your brain and well-being.
Naloxone Program
At CMHA Health Centre, we carry available naloxone kits for our clients. If you or someone you know are using opioids and would like access to a kit, please contact us. You will be provided with a brief training on how to use the kit appropriately.
Social Prescribing Program
CMHA Health Centre has partnered with Life After Fifty to provide our clients with an opportunity to be connected with others in the community. If you are 50+ and are feeling socially isolated, please contact your provider to be referred to the program. The program includes health and wellness activities and personal connection opportunities.
Foot Care Program
Primary and advanced foot care services provided by a Podiatrist. Education and information is also offered on prevention, care and health maintenance of feet.
Eat 4 Life
A unique healthy lifestyle program. The goal of Eat4Life is to build a foundation of healthy habits that will help you make healthy choices for life. With a Registered Dietitian you will earn how to change old habits, nourish your body and mind, choose foods and plan menus, and get active. This is a five week program brought to you by the Community Primary Care and Public Health partnership of Windsor and Essex County.
